The plastics derived—entirely or partly—from renewable sources are an ever more important alternative in the food sector. They are created from natural elements, generally from plant carbohydrates, that are turned into polymers thanks to bacterial fermentations. The result is a bioplastic with excellent properties, which will most likely be biodegradable and/or compostable.

In the event that the client deems it relevant for providing value to its brand, we can look into the possibility of obtaining the OK biobased certification from the prestigious Austrian institute TÜV.
